Knockando 1963/1985 Single Malt – Bottled in 1985

Knockando 1963/1985 ‘Extra Old Reserve’ (43%, OB) Four and a half stars This baby has spent his life in glass in a square bottle. Gold color. Nose: ah well well it’s different. More complex, wider, at the same time more tertiary and with much more fruit, including tropical ones. Tends to get a bit chalky after a few minutes, but not necessarily in the best possible way. But as always, it can come from aging in the bottle. Overall: quite long, on… let’s say a mint tea sweetened with honey with character. Comments: simply one of the best Knockandos.
